Hitmonlee comes out of a Pokeball in SSB.

Hitmonlee (サワムラー, Sawamurā, Sawamular in Japanese language versions) is a Pokémon that comes out of a Poké Ball.

  • Attack: Hitmonlee uses Hi Jump Kick as it's attack. Hitmonlee will remain motionless for a couple of seconds, then it will extend its leg and jump in the air.
  • Any character that makes contact with Hitmonlee's foot will take a heavy amount of damage.
  • Hitmonlee's attack does not harm the summoner.
  • Its cry when released was the source of much debate, as it did not appear to say its name like other Pokemon. Some claim his cry sounds more like Primeape.
  • Hitmonlee is considered by many to have been replaced by Scizor in Melee. However, Hitmonle only kicks once, while Scizor strikes multiple times.
