[edit] Tournaments

There are many different types of tourneys that are held. The tourneys fall under specific categories.

Circuit Tournaments or Super Circuit Cups

Where regular 1v1 matches are held under rules depending on the tourney itself. The Super Circuit Cup (SCC) is the tournament to stop all tournaments. The best of the best gather to face off for the glory of their group. If they win, they will have the bragging rights as the best competitor of the quarter of the year. The SCC will be held every three months. The winner will be able to add a special mark to their sig/quote until the next SCC is held, and will get to choose a VC game or Wii Points as a prize. Winners will also have special VIP entrance into any of the SSC tournaments held within the time as champion.

Group/Guild Tournaments

Where groups/guilds can take their members and brawl against another group in 2v2 matches. The group/guild pairings are generally completely random. Though not as big as the Super Circuit Cup, groups/guilds will be able to fight for the title of best Brawl group/guild! Bragging rights are given and so are team prizes, including the prizes listed above.

Character Tournaments

This tournament will consist of however many characters there are in Brawl. Let's just say there are 32. There will be 33 tournaments. One tournament per character plus the final tournament. What will happen is that people who main or believe they are BRILLIANT with a certain character will enter the Character Tournament and if they win, they will face off in the Tier Tournament. The best character players will face off in a final tournament consisting of every single character. The prize for this tournament? The knowledge that the winner's favorite character will be known as one of the best!

[edit] Unofficial Tournaments

These are tournaments with special rules, ways of playing, or even certain characters. They are member-made tourneys that came from their imaginations. As of now, there are four.

Beast & Humans

This type is a tournament held specifically for certain characters. For Beast tournaments, players may only use animal-related characters, and for Human tournaments, only humans.

Special Brawl

A tournament that uses Special Brawl. It uses various combinations of items and status effects such as being metallic or bunny hooded, among others.

Team/Universe Series

This is a 2vs2 tournament, but a player and the player's partner can only play as people from the same series. Basically, each team must use characters from the same universe, like Mario and Peach, or Kirby and Meta-Knight. A team like Mario and Sonic does not qualify. Characters such as Captain Falcon with no other characters in their series do not qualify either.

  • Cross Heroes Villains Tournaments

Heroes and villains team ups. For example, Mario and Bowser vs. Kirby and King Dedede

[edit] Groups/Guilds

A big part of our tourneys are groups, Being in a group can boost a player's skills by the members helping each other out. There are many ways of joining a group, and they are by either creating one, joining one, or holding a challenge.

Creating one

This is done by just simply recruiting members. Once 4 or more have been recruited, then the group can be submitted to a councilman so it can be made official.

Join one

This is done by simply posting in a recruiting topic.

Challenges

Are held by a member (usually of great skills) that holds a challenge, in which the winner of the challenge will get the person who held the challenge, membership to a group.

Ranks

Groups/Crews are ranked in 3 levels:

Rank A: Best.

Rank B: Medium.

Rank C: Worst.

Ranks are attained by how well a group does in tourneys. It'll also be posted on Smash Circuit's website with the group's rank.

All groups/guilds start off as a Rank C and then work their way up.

Guilds

Groups with over 20 members can form a guild and have their own place in the forums to talk about strategies and about other groups. Of course, this is where players that need help can turn to others in order to play better and get better. Falling below 20 members will result in the guild turning back into a group.

[edit] Circuit Council

The council are members of the organization who work to maintain its functionality. These people are the ones who organize the tournaments and help decide who and what should be apart of the circuit. They are the most important people in getting it started. As of yesterday, the representatives were announced. Here is the list of the full Circuit Council:
