Kimimaru is a Smash 64 player originally from New York who has resided in NorCal since 2015. He is a Mario main and has been playing since 2006 and was one of the more active netplay smashers. He is known to play in doubles with his brother Hydra who is also a Mario. He won his first 64 console tournament, a local in California known as Get Smashed at the Foundry, without dropping a single set. His regional tournaments include Truth or Dair 2, where he placed 1st, and The End is Nair 4, where he placed 2nd. His first major was GENESIS 3, where he placed 17th over other well-known smashers, winning sets over Maliki and NaCL before losing to JaimeHR and Revan. Kimimaru is otherwise known for his technical play with Mario as well as his use of an advanced technique to recover known as an Extended Up Special. He was formerly ranked 41st on the 2017 64 League Rankings.
