Depressed_Brian is a Canadian smasher from Red Deer, Alberta. Depressed_Brian is a common-goer to the CAST tournaments, but has recently lost interest in video games in favor of partying and getting with girls. At Melee's End was the last tournament he attended.

Etymology

Depressed Brian as of 2009, shortly after his retirement from competitive smash.

The name "Depressed_Brian" was his new email address after his first and major girlfriend at the time broke up with him, changing his former alias "RelfSolarblade" to his current one. His friends since then have made fun of him for his email address, and it eventually caught on as a nickname for him. Though he recently changed his email address to "calamitys-end", he is still addressed as Depressed_Brian in both his smash community and among his friends.

• Depressed_Brian is a good friend of the Red Deer crew Teh Fair in which he smashes with frequently.
• Under the alias of RelfSolarblade, Depressed_Brian was an infamous map builder in the Warcraft series.
