Dastrn, also known as Dastrn Marco, is an American smasher that lives in Indiana. He was added to recently revived crew Famous Last Words after the crew temporarily stopped competing in Smash tournaments due to the fact that he is a brother of the players that started the crew and he began attending tournaments on his own.

[edit] Background

Dastrn started playing Melee late in the game's life, after his brothers that founded FLW stopped participating in tournaments. His brother M3D was running Smash events for MLG and gave Dastrn a cube and copy of the game for him to learn. He has since become competent when playing the game, although still at a much lower level than his brothers.

Dastrn got his first taste of what a Smash tournament is like by attending FC3 for two days with his brothers M3D and B-Run and was immediately impressed with the nature of the community, although he did not officially enter the tournament. He has since traveled on his own to a few Midwest Circuit events and FC6 for fun to improve his skills. He has not, however, ever advanced through the pool play and into the brackets.

When Brawl came out, Dastrn picked it up at midnight on launch day, and began playing competitively again. While still not terribly successful at Midwest Circuit events, he can now hang with the best.

Dastrn's contribution to the smash scene now consists more of organizing tournaments more than competing. He began the Smash and Coffee series of tournaments in the Summer of 2008, holding 3 events successfully. He has played host to top midwest players, including Bloodhawk, Overswarm, Sliq, Kel, Kyari, Tink, KishSquared, Ignatius, and many others.

[edit] Trivia

  • Dastrn is a name he used as early as Dragon Warrior for the NES. The name has stuck through a series of RPG titles, MMORPGs like World of Warcraft and into Smash Brothers.
