King of the Mountain (氷山大脱走, Iceberg Great Escape) is the 11th event match of the 51 event matches in Super Smash Bros. Melee.
Event Match 11: King of the Mountain is one of the Event Matches in Event Mode from Super Smash Bros. Melee.

The player controls a fighter of their choice and must win a 62 second stock match against two CPU Ice Climbers teams on the Icicle Mountain stage, with the player starting with 1 stock and the Ice Climbers starting off with infinite stocks. The CPU Ice Climbers' artificial intelligence is set at Level 6.
The player is pitted against two Ice Climbers on Icicle Mountain and has one minute to survive without being KO'd. The movement of Icicle Mountain is random; sometimes it could move up fast, sometimes the movement can be slow. The player can fight the Ice Climbers too. If the player KOs the Ice Climbers, they will return to the stage, but the more the Ice Climbers are KO'd, the higher the high score recorded for the event. A good strategy is to avoid fighting the Ice Climbers when they are at the bottom of the screen or when the stage is moving fast.

When the match starts, the player's fighter spawns above the left lower platform of the ramp, while one Ice Climbers team spawns at the center platform of the ramp and the other Ice Climbers team will spawn at the right higher platform of the ramp. If the player's fighter survives for 1 minute and 2 seconds, it will result in a victory. High scores are measured by the number of times the player's fighter KOs the Ice Climber teams.

*Unlike in Versus Mode, Icicle Mountain's camera will never travel downward or come to a stop. It will only move upward, albeit at varying speeds.
